Hi Michael, Some day I hope you can help me make the connection between my Anton Francois-Franzwa and the Matthias Francois family. I visisted the Sauk County, WI area this summer and found the farm that Anton owned with his father-in-law and some other information. As I wrote you before, Anton's parents are listed as Matthias Francois and Susanna Kieffer on the church records at St. Aloysius church in Sauk City. He was born in 1823. I'm also interested in the book your father wrote. Any chance of getting a copy of it? Sharon Gunderson JDGunderson@msn.com

I visited your website while researching some of my family's geneology. Charles Knorr and Marie Knorr Married are my great-great grandparents. That is if they are the same two from Chloride, AZ. They had a child named John Knorr, who then had two children (Charles and Melvin Knorr). Thought that you may want that info for your family tree. I can be reached at: Jenkies76@yahoo.com

Hi my name is latoya (aka Jaime). My mum is a Bassaragh and her grand father is and Indian man of hindu religion. My mums father is half Jamaician. He has one brother and nine sisters. Both men have died and two of the women. The rest reside in Jamaica and Canada and there are hundreds of grandchildren, greatgrans, great great grans over Jamaica, Cananda and Britian. I am from England. I was looking up stuff about my aunts death, which you can find if you enter Basasragh and it about Dawn who was killed in tottenham on the 9th April 2003. Just last week a new bassargh found us and went to see my mum last night and my fammily are so excited!!! Late last year a large family of bassaragh's found us due to my aunts death, one of them came to meet us early this year and NEXT WEEKEND THE TWO FAMILIES PLUS THE ONE WHO FOUND US LAST WEEK ARE GETTING TOGHETHER IN LONDON!!! A bit about my family --- including all my mums brother and sisters and there children, there are 23 of us so far and hopefully we will be expecting more soon. We are afro carribean, with an indian great granddad and on my grand side they are jamaican but her mother is half scottish, so she is very white and my gran and mum look mix raced. I look black. Soom of my aunts and cousins look indian, so there is a good blend of colour through my family ( a bit confuse uh? ) Its so sad that we have lost my aunt but we have gain so much family, maybe you will be joining us one day. I hope you find what you are looking for and if its us then where just waiting for you!!!!!!!!!!

Hi...I was searching for "Schreiter". I'm from the Appleton/Milwaukee, WI, clan of Schreiters. My dad, Stephen, has been researching many of the WI clan from the 1860s, but trying to find out more information about the Nebraska Schreiter clan in which he believes one part of the family where one side of the Schreiter clan went to Wisconsin and the other Nebraska, so there may be a connection there. If you have additional information you'd like to share, please e-mail me. Jeanne Schreiter jbshark@sbcglobal.net

Hi, my name is Judy Lechner Ison, I'm doing research on the Schmitz's and Schneiders. I have the copy of the "Final Petiton" dated 25 Oct 1910, Otoe County, Nebraska of John Schmitz (1842-1910) married to Johanna "Jennie" Seifert. In his Final Petition and Account" he has land in Louisana ; Lots nine (9) and ten (10) in Block two (2), and Lots nine (9) and ten (10) in Block five (5) in the Town of Morse, Acadia Parrish, and being within the Francois Addition, in the State of Louisiana. Since this isn't passed down from his father, could he possibly inherited it from the Francois line? <IsonJudy@aol.com>

Anton (Francois) Franzwa was born in 1823 and was the son of Susanna Keiffer and Matthias Francois. He is not listed on your site, but other records would indicate that he was the youngest member of this family. Jonieta Stone TheStones3@Cox.net

Sharon Gunderson and I are working on the Anton Franzwa history, so this site has been wonderful! I have a funeral card for Sister Rose Francois. Let me know if you'd like a copy. Sr. Rose made the connection between my Greatgrandfather and her family and visited the "Franzwas" in Carroll, Iowa on at least two occasions. My great aunt Pearl remembers her visit in about 1901. Pearl also wrote that Sr. Rose was instrumental in the founding of St. Anthonys hospital in Carroll. Jonieta Stone Thestones3@Cox.net

My mother's maiden name was Franzwa. We are from the Anton (Francois) Franzwa line. Anton arrived in this country in 1842. He had a brother named Peter who retained the original spelling and settled in Franklin, WI. Peter had a daughter named Elizabeth and she became a nun, Sister Maria Rose. I'd love to know more about Peter's family. Thanks. Jonieta Stone TheStones3@Cox.net

What an international family we have!

It would be a good idea to put some of Monica's Lativan pictures on here, so we could see where she is!

Mike, George and I looked at your work. We think you are a very talented young man and I very much enjoyed reading family information. I have a few peices of missing information of genology if you would like to update. Let me know. I have not seen you, till now, since the time you were in DesMoines with me and we went to Burger King--remember? We came to pick your Dad up, I think. You have grown into a handsome man and taller than you Dad. Thanks for sharing. I am proud of your work.

I was surprised to see your page. I am in the infant stages of putting together a we page for our family. We too are Francois'. I am located in Iowa and am interested in starting a family tree etc. Some day I hope to have a site that me family members and I can communicate and educate other family members. My father is 1 of 13 children. I have 74 cousins and my wife Jennifer and I just had twins, which make 125 great grandchildren for my Grandma Ida. As you can see the family is growing and I think the internet would be a great way to communicate. If you have any advice on how to start a web page let me know. My E-mail address is tfrancois@ies-energy.com Take Care.

My name is Dennis John Francois and I live in West Virginia, although I am originally from Iowa. I have been trying to get a little information on our family history, to no avail. My great, great, grandfather's name was Jean Pierre Francois and he came over to the US from Luxemburg in 1865. I believe they lived in Iowa when they first came over. Any relation? I didn't see any familiar ones in your page. email: francois@salem.wvnet.edu
